Mi nombre es Silvia Izquierdo, soy una orgullosa mama, esposa, editora y escritora del Suroeste de la Florida. Mi pais de origen es Argentina, la cual recuerdo siempre con mucho amor.
Algunos de ustedes me conocen como fundadora y editora de uno de los primeros periodicos Hispanos del area de Ft. Myers y Naples; el periodico Nuevos Ecos, el cual todavia circula. Ya no represento ese medio, pero hoy con placer les brindo este nuevo espacio cybernetico, con el les ofresco informacion, eventos, y alguna notas y pensamientos de interes para todos los Latinos de la Florida. Mi amor por la palabra escrita continua plasmado en el famoso "Web."

My name is Silvia Izquierdo, and I am a Southwest Florida mom, wife, editor, writer and a proud native of Argentina. I am the past owner-founder and editor of Nuevos Ecos Hispanic Newspaper, which was one of the first Spanish media print news publications in the Naples, Ft. Myers area.
I offer my educational background in teaching, creative writing, reporting and active journalism experience, plus my acquired marketing and public relation skills to bring the latest news briefs and local events to the diverse Latin communities of this SW Florida area.
I have returned to the Southwest Florida media in 2009 as an independent free-lance writer. This web site is launched as my platform to write in my beloved native language, and it is dedicated to all those who are studying English every day to better their lives in the United States. I know some of you still like to read useful information, interesting articles, and maintain and improve your Spanish language skills.
